      Jason slowly pulled around the corner and could see the warehouse.  He came back to get his dad.  The pain that his body was so racked with drove him with a desire for revenge.  Overnight the nightmare played repeatedly in his mind.  Rage does not always subsist with time, and we don’t always settle down.  This man had been pushed too far and he was going to see his enemies driven down before him.  Oddly enough it was not his father’s murderer he blamed, hatred aside, but the motivations of his employer.  He could almost hear the regret in the voice of the gargoyle.  Weariness in is tone made Jason think of reluctant

      10      An acrid odor penetrated Jason’s nose.  It burned ever so slightly and took him back to consciousness.  He opened his eyes with a start, he could not move and came to the quick conclusion he was bound.  Looking around discreetly he could see his father to the right of him and that he was still out, he hoped.  He could see an office at the end of the warehouse where a large man stood inside; he appeared to be on the phone.  The voice was deep and carried to him.  Although the sounds arrived at his ears they were too bass and reverberated.  Jason could only make out a few words.      The gargoyle stood in the off

      6      A loud rumbling broke the silence in the weld shop.  An engine like no other roared to life.  After a few moments the engine grew quiet as the exhaust overflow valve was closed.  This device is necessary to prevent the exhaust from being blown to piece when the airless fuel is added to the mix.  It made a horrible racket.  As the truck ran on regular fuel now it was mostly silent.  Chuck offered Jason the driver’s seat but Jason declined.  The three sat in the truck, with the electronically tinted windows turned on you couldn’t see them.  Chuck gingerly touched the accelerator and the truck rolled forward wi
